Deryl brings over 18 years of experience leading FOIA and Privacy Act programs across multiple federal agencies. He has served as a Privacy Officer, FOIA Officer, and Director-level leader, where he managed high-volume caseloads, implemented agency-wide training, and led complex privacy investigations and audits.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, disclosure, and privacy professional, Deryl has been recognized for driving results in both compliance and culture change. He is known for simplifying the complex, mentoring emerging professionals, and helping agencies restore trust through ethical transparency.

Deryl holds a Master’s in Public Affairs, a Bachelor’s in Management, and multiple federal commendations. He currently leads PDPS with a vision for building a more accountable and privacy-forward federal landscape.
